In my junior year of high school, I applied for Cypress and La Palma’s Youth Action Committee, or YAC. YAC is composed of a group of teens who dedicate their time and hard work community engagement, team building, and leadership.

I also attended community events such as the Cypress Holiday Sing, Teens Night Out: Trivia Night, Festival of Nations, and Love for Our Elders Card Making.
In my second year, I was able to take the position of Chair. As Chair, I aimed to bring our Youth Action Committee closer together to optimize our ability to bring good to our community. So far, I have led the organization of a YAC-planned Teen Event and have also planned our own bonding event.
