I also used social media to showcase my creative and artistic skills like singing and podcasting.

YouTube Channel

I have uploaded song covers onto my Youtube channel using my singing, editing, and graphic design skills. By doing this project, I’ve learned to use editing software like Garageband and CapCut. Not only did I have a lot of fun uploading these covers, I was also able to improve on my singing by listening to my technique.

New York Times Vocabulary Entry

I entered into the New York Times Vocabulary Contest with a short claymation video that demonstrated the meaning of “wallow”. This was the first time I had ever worked with clay or created a stopmotion video. Although I did not win, I gained valuable skills of video editing and clay work. https://youtu.be/lQx4uCh38bk

Here’s the Gist - Podcast

In 9th and 10 grade, I made a joint podcast with my two close friends, Ashley and Rachel. Together, we made flyers to post on Instagram to publicize each episode. Using the skills, I had acquired from podcasting and video-making, I was able to transform hours of content to a well-edited interesting episode. We posted these podcast episodes on all websites including Spotify, Youtube, and Soundcloud.

New York Times Podcast Entry

I entered into the New York Times Podcast Contest with a short podcast about my struggles with public speaking. Through this project, I was able to gain experience making podcasts with editing software and interviewing people.
